Objectives/Accomplishments:
DMS assisted the school district in getting FEMA to determine that over
90 school buildings were significantly damaged. Aided in procurement
of funds for facilities for 6 temporary campuses . This resulted in
the school district receiving funding from FEMA and insurance for 6
campuses including over $95,000,000.00 for Charlotte High School.

Objectives/Accomplishments:
DMS assisted the district in getting a $25,000,000.00 advance from their
insurance company within 30 days following Hurricane Katrina. We aided
in getting FEMA to pay for 4 temporary campuses and a temporary administration
building, and also to approve the replacement of 2 campuses, the districts
administration building and several individual facilities at various
schools.

$60,000,000.00 to renovate University Hospital to function as a trauma
